Cohesion Plus
Cohesion Plus are organisers of culturally diverse festivals, events and initiatives, promoting community cohesion and diversity through the arts, public education and sport.
Established in 2008 and formed from the Kent Equality Cohesion Council, the focus of Cohesion Plus’s work is to use the arts and community engagement to bring people together, showcase culturally diverse arts and promote community cohesion, celebrating our shared values
Artistic Director Gurvinder Sandher has worked in the voluntary sector in Kent since 1999 and established Cohesion Plus to compliment the work he was already doing around equality and diversity. The organisation also promotes equality legislation on age, disability, gender, race, religion and sexual orientation
Gurvinder is passionate about diversity and inclusion within the arts sector and champions increased visibility for BAME artists and organisations. He has a long track record of producing culturally diverse festivals and has produced numerous outdoor performances which fuse together various, diverse arts forms including the Dancing Maharajas and the Afro-Bhangra Fusion.
